Jackie Lou Blanco’s comeback will be marked by a song to be released on her birthday next month!

Jackie Lou Blanco is known by today’s youth primarily as an actress, starring in shows like the Philippine remake of the Korean hit Start-Up. A lesser known facet of her career spanning decades? She’s also a singer!

After a long time, Blanco is finally making a comeback. According to her manager Noel Ferrer, this year is the time that Blanco is reclaiming her voice through reviving her singing career.

The song she’s recording now will be released on social media platforms this coming February 11, 2023—which also happens to be her birthday!

Blanco is also getting support from another big star: Sharon Cuneta.

Jackie Lou Blanco gets “mega support” from Sharon Cuneta

On January 22, 2023, Megastar Sharon Cuneta posts a message of support on Instagram for her longtime friend and co-star in several movies.

Cuneta writes, “This is long overdue, just as your movie career is. If Mama Mina hadn’t left us, we would have shone brightly together. But to someone like you, it is never too late!” (Mama Mina refers to Mina Aragon del Rosario, the deceased wife of Viva Films big boss Vic Del Rosario.)

She also has good words for Blanco: “So beautiful, so kind, so sincere, so talented. You never should have stopped shining. I am very proud of you and am praying for all the success you have deserved all these years! Am behind you all the way, Mama! Gogogo! Sabi nga naming mga maka-K-Drama at K-Pop: FIGHTING! I love you and cherish you so much. God bless you!!!”

The Sharon Cuneta-Jackie Lou Blanco friendship dates back to their Viva movies: “My Only Love” in 1982, “Friends In Love” in 1983, and “Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin” in 1987. Some fans have expressed the hope that they collaborate again, either starring opposite each other in another movie or through a song!
