It has been over three weeks since Foxx was hospitalized in Georgia. As of now, doctors are still running tests to determine what happened. The actor’s reps have not provided any comments on his condition.
His daughter Corinne, 29, announced on April 12 through Instagram that her father was under emergency medical care. She also requested privacy and said the family appreciates prayers for his recovery.
On April 21, a source informed People that Foxx is “OK” but still in the hospital. “Doctors are running tests, but he’s awake and alert. They’re keeping him under observation,” the source added.
According to TMZ, Foxx was photographed filming “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz a day before he was hospitalized. But, production has been using a body double since his hospitalization for Foxx.
Foxx has a popular game show titled “Beat Shazam,” which he co-hosts with his daughter Corinne. The show has started filming a new season but has found another host while Foxx is still recovering. TMZ reported that Corinne will not be in the new season as she is staying near her father in the hospital.
The actor’s friends, such as Kerry Washington, LeBron James, Martin Lawrence, and Nick Cannon, have shared their good wishes for his speedy recovery.
