On May 17, French journalist Amar Taoualit posted TikTok video alluding the K-Pop stars were holding hands in Paris. The footage shows the two celebrities walking together along the Seine River.

In the video, V (Kim Tae-Hyung) can be seen wearing a coat with sequin detailing, baggy blue jeans, and white sneakers. Jennie is sporting a white hat, a white sweater, and white kicks of her own.
Taoualit explained on his Instagram Story that he filmed the clips on May 15 but chose to upload them later for safety reasons. He also shared an extra clip showing them walking by a vehicle in the company of others. Images of them reportedly wearing the same outfits at different locations throughout the day.
In his Instagram Story, Taoualit clarified, “I specify that this video dates from before yesterday and that I posted it today so that they are not bothered.
“The quality is bad because I didn’t plan to see them in front of me, and I didn’t have my camera. I was walking around in Paris, so I filmed on the iPhone.”
Dating rumors between Jennie and V surfaced when V followed and then unfollowed Jennie on Instagram, as reported by Elle.
In May 2022, photos allegedly showing the two together were leaked online. This rompted a non-committal response from Jennie’s agency, YG Entertainment, who stated, “We have nothing to say. We will inform you if we have a different response to share.”
In October, YG released a statement addressing the matter. It said they refrained from making official statements to cut down damage. They also took legal action against those sharing malicious or unconfirmed posts.
“The photos distributed online were made public illegally, without Jennie’s consent,” the statement explained.
“Sharing those images is an act of secondary victimization and can be subject to legal penalty. Please refrain from indiscriminately sharing those images.”
Both the artists’ agencies, YG Entertainment and HYBE, addressed the relationship rumors. But, rather than confirming or denying any romantic connection, the agencies chose to remain tight-lipped.
“It is difficult to check [regarding this matter],” said both agencies via Soompi.
