Netizens have been feasting lately on a photo showcasing two of this generation’s heartthrobs: Kapamilya actor Joshua Garcia and Kapuso celebrity David Licauco—next to each other—during the recently concluded GMA Gala 2023.
It’s not everyday that social media are blessed with a handsome outpour, but Saturday, June 22, was an exception as Joshua and David were seen shoulder to shoulder during the event.
The photograph shows Joshua wearing a white suit paired with black trousers, while David is donning a brooched suit from designer brand Tom Ford.
The photo was uploaded by Sparkle GMA Artist Center handler Isabel Bulatao, who teased the Twitter world with a caption: “Left or right?”
The Twitterverse was then quick to retweet the photo, with some users having a difficult time picking between the two gentlemen.
Joshua currently banners ABS-CBN and GMA-7’s collaboration series, “Unbreak My Heart.” David, on the other hand, is set to headline the upcoming series “Maging Sino Ka Man” together with his on-screen tandem, Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza.
During an interview with GMA News Online, Joshua Garcia could not help but admire Barbie Forteza in her mint-green trail dress made by designer Ehrran Montoya.
When asked who could be the best dressed of the night, Joshua had Barbie’s name in mind.
“S’ya yung nasa harapan ko kanina, sabi ko, ‘Ang ganda ng dress nito,” he remarks. “Hindi s’ya ganun ka-flashy pero, at the same time, nandun yung pagka-elegante nung babae,” Joshua adds.
Barbie walked solo during the red carpet event of GMA Gala 2023. While many had anticipated her appearance with either long-time boyfriend Jak Roberto or on-screen partner David Licauco, she surprised many as she walked all by herself.
Later on, she retweeted a fan account’s tweet that reads: “GOING SOLO.” She then had it with a caption that says, “What’s a girl gonna do? A diamond’s gotta shine,” a popular line from American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s hit “Bejeweled.”
