Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon met for dinner on Thursday, April 20. They seem to have bonded to prepare for their upcoming dark-comedy movie, “A Very Good Girl.”
Star Cinema posted photos of their bonding moments with director Petersen Vargas and the Star Cinema family on social media.
“Hindi ako nakatulog kasi masyado [akong] na-excite. Kinakabahan ako kasi big leap ito for me, e. And ewan ko, sigurado dahil naging very supportive din lahat personally and lahat dito sa ABS-CBN,” Bernardo shared during a press conference in March, expressing her excitement for the project.
“I love watching dark comedy series and movies. But then, yung gagawin ko ‘yun, for sure, it will be challenging. But I’m accepting the challenge. So, my first project with Star Cinema will be happening this year, and we will start filming very, very soon,” she added.
Bernardo also expressed how elated she is to star alongside Golden Globe nominee de Leon in the film. “Sinabi niya na nagkasama na pala kami years ago when I was younger. Before pa pero it was very short lang. So, now, I’m looking forward na mas makatrabaho siya ng mas matagal and mas makilala siya. What a great honor na nabigyan niya ako ng oras. Thank you so much, Miss Dolly. She’s the queen,” she remarked.

De Leon, on the other hand, said in an interview in early April, “Siyempre, kinikilig ako kasi galing na galing ako kay Kathryn. Kinikilig talaga siyempre kasi napakahusay niya. At saka napakabuting tao. She’s really a very good actress and so, of course, I’m so flattered. I’m so flattered and I’m really excited to work with her.”
Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon are both acclaimed actresses in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Bernardo began her career as a child actress. She starred in many hit TV series and movies, earning critical acclaim for her performances. On the other hand, Dolly is a veteran theater actress and filmmaker. She is known for her outstanding performances on stage and screen.
