Universal Records has welcomed Ken San Jose into the family.
Dancer and singer Ken San Jose signed to Universal Records earlier this month. San Jose said joining the label is a dream come true.
“Speechless, definitely. It’s something I’ve dreamed of ever since I was young. To be with such a big company like Universal Records, it’s a blessing from God talaga,” the young star said.
His managers Erickson Raymundo and Jeff Vadillo were at his contract signing. Universal Records’ Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go was also there.
Who is Ken San Jose?
Ken is a 20-year-old Fil-Am who rose to fame when he became a World Of Dance PH finalist. He has released four singles since 2019, including “Halma” and “Lose Control.”
His musical influences are Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and Travis Scott. His favorite local artists include Flow G and Shanti Dope. San Jose also mentioned it would be “pretty dope” to collaborate with the latter one day. Since they’re under the same label, that seems like a definite possibility.
Ken is from the US, and he recently did a dance tour with the Wiggle Crew. The tour included several performances in Boston and New York, as well as a few dance workshops.
What’s in store for him
Ken is planning to release his first album under Universal Records. He also wants to explore where his passion lies, whether in hip-hop or RNB.
