Kris Aquino’s unfeigned words for Bimby’s 16th birthday
It’s an annual thing for the “Queen of All Media” Kris Aquino to greet Bimby Aquino Yap, her son with basketball figure James Yap, on his birthday. And as Bimby turned 16 on April 19, the actress-host takes to Instagram her sincerest celebratory words.
In a lengthy caption accompanied by a year-on-year photo of her and Bimby, Aquino says, “Bimb, my honey, YOU are the reason I can’t give up, and I continue fighting what at times feels like a losing battle.
Aquino has also reminisced about the moment they first learned of her “first two autoimmune conditions” and how she made herself promise to put up a fight just like her late mother and former President of the Philippines Corazon Aquino.
Aquino ends with a moving paragraph about how the late president deserved an ideal “bunso“—one that Bimby embodies as he is “unspoiled, no hint of brattiness, respectful, polite & affectionate to all, thoughtful & kindhearted, obedient, masipag mag-homework, marunong mag-budget sa pera, and inuuna ang iba bago ang sarili.”

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez turns “blessed” 53
OPM singer Regine Velasquez marked her 53rd birthday on Saturday, April 22, 2023. A day after, she celebrated with a set of songs in a segment of ABS-CBN’s Sunday program “ASAP Natin ‘To”
The Asia’s Songbird rendered powerful performances of “I’ll Always Love You,” “Longer,” “More Than You’ll Ever Know,” and “Love Is All That Matters.”
She extended her thoughts on how blessed she is with the people around her. “Wala na akong mahihiling kasi I’ve been really, really very blessed. I have a wonderful husband, I gave great friends, wonderful people to work with, and of course my son, and my family,” she said.
Her husband singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid greeted the Songbird through an Instagram post. The post curated the couple’s moments with Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” as background music.

Mimiyuuuh and Ivana Alawi fulfill family goals
Internet celebrity Mimiyuuuh checked off another life goal as she brought her family to El Nido, Palawan for their first-ever family getaway.
The social media content creator proudly shared on Instagram on Saturday, April 22 her monumental milestone. Through a series of family photos, Mimiyuuuh is joyful to share the achievement of bringing her entire family on a vacation.
It comes with a caption that reads, “It’s important to realize that you are living inside one of your answered prayers while you wait for your next one. There’s always a place for gratitude.”
“Natupad ko po ang isa mga goals ko this year, to travel with my whole family! Sobrang nag-enjoy kami lalong lalo na sila inay at tatay! TO MORE TRAVELS FOR US! Sana next year sa ibang bansa naman hihi,” she continues.
The trip is just one among Mimiyuuuh’s accomplishments this 2023. She initially shared a house renovation earlier this year that has also gained netizens’ admiration for her hard work.

The same thing is true for actress Ivana Alawi who spent some time away from her busy schedule to roam the streets of Paris with her mother Fatima Marbella.
Alawi posted her Parisian photographs on Instagram, with her fans quick on commenting about her fad getaway. The reason behind the trip is her mom who always dreams of seeing the Eiffel Tower in real life.
In Alawi’s latest YouTube vlog, the actress asked her mom if she enjoyed the trip. Her mother replies with, “Very, very happy. Thank you. Alam mo, sana, everyone magkaroon ng chance makapunta dito. Kakaiba siya talaga. Ang ganda ganda.”
