According to the Los Angeles Police Department on Friday, a woman, whom they chose not to name, returned the animals unharmed to Lady Gaga’s staff and detectives at the Olympic Community Police Station at around 6PM that day.

“The woman found the dogs and reached out to Lady Gaga’s staff to return them,” LAPD’s report said. “The woman’s identity and the location [where] the dogs were found will remain confidential due to the active criminal investigation and for her safety.”

It was late Wednesday night when Lady Gaga’s hired dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was ambushed and shot four times with a semi-automatic handgun. The assailant then fled the crime scene but not before nabbing the two French Bulldogs from the victim.

Afterward, Lady Gaga took to social media to put up a $500,000 reward for the safe return of her pets, as well as to praise her dog walker’s heroism.

Surveillance footage from one of the nearby houses shows the moment of the attack. Meanwhile, the LAPD reports that the dog walker is now “stable” and slowly recovering from his injuries, which was not life-threatening.

Despite the dogs’ homecoming, police are still actively searching for the assailant, who stays at large.
