“Bastos at makakapal ang mukha,” says Maine Mendoza
Maine Mendoza shares a bad experience that happened to her with fellow Filipinos abroad.
This stemmed from a now-deleted Facebook post by a Filipina who took a picture with Mendoza when she was in Singapore. The Filipina works a sales assistant in Singapore.
With her picture with Mendoza, the sales assistant claimed that the “Eat Bulaga!” host was “suplada pala sa personal” and said that she was “disappointed” meeting her.
A netizen tweeted the Facebook post on January 13 with the caption: “So nasa SG pala si Maine at may peklat na kumapit sa kanya na ang sabi eh disappointed daw siya kay Maine at suplada pero nakapag pa pic, pinost, at pinublic pa.”

Maine Mendoza’s worst experience abroad
It turns out that Mendoza also had a bad experience with the sales assistant, which she even called her “worst experience” with Filipinos abroad. Apparently, it was not just with the sales assistant she had an experience with but with a group of girls she was with.
Mendoza even mentions in her tweet that she should have really displayed her mean streak towards them, just like how the sales assistant claimed, because they were “bastos at makakapal ang mukha.”
Mendoza writes, “If I came off as ‘supladita‘ (as ate sales associate in Bath and Body Works Ngee Ann Mall have said to every Filipino inside the store, even to my friend) e dasurv nga naman, sana tinarayan ko na nga talaga. Bastos si SA and that group of girls. Bastos at makakapal ang mukha.”

In a reply to another netizen, Mendoza said that the ladies were “disrespectful and entitled,” and declared that it was her “worst experience.”
The Kapuso star tweets, “If you only know how disrespectful and entitled those ladies were, especially the sales associate, ay maloloka ka nalang talaga. By far the worst experience/interaction with kababayans abroad. Bastos.”

A lot of netizens defended Mendoza for the claim in the tweet replies but the TV host no longer responded and gave further details about the incident.
