Maja Salvador Bids Goodbye To “Eat Bulaga!” Due To “Uncertainties”

Maja Salvador will be missing the Dabarkads as she will temporarily be leaving the longest-running noontime program, “Eat Bulaga!” as a co-host. 

In a statement released by her talent agency, Crown Artist Management on Thursday, April 13, 2023, Salvador’s departure was due to “uncertainties surrounding the show” and also, to prepare for her upcoming wedding with Rambo Nunez.

The official statement also said the decision was already communicated to the “Eat Bulaga!” management.

“Becoming a Dabarkads in Eat Bulaga was a dream of Maja that came true one and half years ago, but for now, we have to give it a pause,” the statement read.

“Maja wishes Eat Bulaga, its host, and staff all the best. Maraming salamat, Dabarkads!” the statement added.

Salvador first joined the show in October 2021.

What uncertainties is Maja Salvador pertaining to?

While Salvador did not expressly identify the uncertainties she was pertaining to, it has been more than a month since rumors of “changes” in the show started making rounds. More so, the reports had it that a well-loved personality would be departing the show. 

Entertainment journalist and host Cristy Fermin shared in her “Cristy Fer Minute” program on March 2, 2023, that an internal problem is brewing within the noontime show. Stirring the pot further was her claim that a big executive of the show would allegedly be removed.

The following day, reports had it that show producers former Congressman Romeo Jalosjos and Tony Tuviera are in a tiff with the former allegedly wanting to kick the latter out. 

Reports further claimed that the camp of TAPE Inc is looking at replacing main hosts—Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, as well as longtime hosts Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Allan K, and even Maine Mendoza.

However, recent reports say that changes are no longer bound to happen in “Eat Bulaga!” and the show will remain business as usual.
