“Basta ako, masaya ako na nakakagawa tayo ng mga shows”
Is Maja Salvador making a comeback on ABS-CBN for a teleserye?
Recently, a photo came out on social media where Salvador is seen with Dreamscape Entertainment head, Deo Endrinal, together with Salvador’s fiancé Rambo Nunez and her handler Mikki Gonzales.
Dreamscape produced some of Maja Salvador’s shows such as “Ina Kapatid Anak,” “Nagsimula sa Puso,” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
The photo had Kapamilya fans assuming that Dreamscape Entertainment pitched a possible teleserye for Salvador, which might serve as her comeback to the network.
However, there are those who mentioned that Salvador and Nunez might just be talking to Endrinal to become one of their ninongs in their forthcoming wedding.
During the press launch of her Kapuso sitcom “Open 24/7” on Monday, May 8 at Seda Hotel in Quezon City, FreebieMNL asks Maja Salvador if she is doing three shows right now, including her rumored show in ABS-CBN.
Aside from “Open 24/7,” Salvador is also the main host of TV5’s game show, “Emoji Nation.”
Maja Salvador answers, “Tatlong shows?” She then zips her mouth and says, “Ganun muna ako.”
Smiling, Salvador explains, “Basta ako, masaya ako na nakakagawa tayo ng mga shows at nakakasama natin yung mga hindi natin inaakala na may posibilidad pala na makasama mo sila, di ba?”
FreebieMNL then asked if she is ready to do a soap opera soon.
Salvador then pauses and laughs, then quips, “Ah, anong scent ng sabon ba?”
She then says, “Focus muna tayo sa wedding. Alam niyo naman, kapag sinabi kong focus, yung kahit papaano, may time lang ako pero meron tayong ibang shows na ginagawa but hindi mabibigat.”

When FreebieMNL asked if she had a good time meeting with Endrinal, Salvador answers, “Sa lahat ng nakakausap ko, yes. Catch up, update update sa life, di ba? About our future.”
Maja Salvador’s last appearance in ABS-CBN was for a special role in the teleserye “The Iron Heart,” where she had a two-week guesting.
Salvador’s contract with ABS-CBN ended in 2020 in the midst of its shutdown. She then did a show on TV5, “Sunday Noontime Live,” with Johnny “Mr. M” Manahan as the show’s director.
Working with GMA-7 and M-Zet
“Open 24/7” is Maja Salvador’s second show to be aired on GMA-7, the first being “Eat Bulaga,” where she served as co-host from October 2021 to April 2022.
“Eat Bulaga,” however, is a block timer. On the other hand, “Open 24/7” is a co-production between M-Zet Productions and GMA-7, but it is M-Zet who manages the show’s production.

While the former Kapamilya actress is happy to have a show with GMA-7, she says that she has yet to experience the working environment of the network.
She says of her show, “Well, it’s under M-Zet, so, yung experience to work with Kapuso-Kapuso talaga, never ko pa na-experience kasi with ‘Eat Bulaga,’ I’m working with APT. Sa sitcom naman, I’m working with M-Zet but ie-air siya sa GMA.
“So, kung Kapuso-Kapuso na work, hindi ko pa na-e-experience.
“Pero, siyempre, we’re thankful kasi, di ba, lahat ng ginagawa nating shows ay ipinapalabas with GMA.”
“Open 24/7” is set to air on May 27 on GMA-7’s weekend primetime block.
