Maris Racal is off to Italy!
Actress Maris Racal took to Instagram to share her excitement about representing her film at the upcoming Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy.
Racal was in disbelief that she would be at the prestigious film festival for her film “Where Is The Lie?”
“Thank u universe!” she writes.
She even excitedly tagged her co-star EJ Jallorina whom she says she will be meeting there.
Racal’s friends and “Here Comes The Groom” co-stars Enchong Dee and Kaladkaren also expressed their joy for the young actress via the comments section.
Jallorina has also expressed his excitement over the European premiere of their film.
A thrilled Quark Henares, the film’s director, left a special tip on Racal’s post.
“Eat and enjoy all the lovely food and people,” he writes.
“Where Is The Lie?” a comedy about scams and the dangers of the web, also stars Jallorina and Royce Cabrera.
The Udine Far East Film Festival runs from April 21 to 29, 2023.
Also participating in the festival are “Deleter” by Mikhail Red starring Nadine Lustre, and the dark fable “In My Mother’s Skin,” the debut feature of Kenneth Dagatan.
Maris Racal to conquer other international film festivals
Apart from the Udine Far East Film Festival, Jallorina revealed on his account that their film is also set to be part of another film festival in the US.
According to Jallorina, “Where Is The Lie?” will also be part of the 38th Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival which will run from May 5 to May 14, 2023.
Apart from their film being shown to a new audience, Jallorina emphasized that it would also create a significant impact on the LGBTQIA++ community.
“A significant story for more Trans visibility around the world, especially in the US. So excited!!!” he says.
Racal’s latest big screen milestone comes right on the heels of the successful run of her Metro Manila Summer Film Festival entry “Here Comes The Groom.”
Fans of Racal can expect to see her flexing her acting prowess soon on the upcoming series titled “Simula Sa Gitna” together with Khalil Ramos, Jane Oineza, and BAFTA nominee Dolly de Leon.
