The half-vampire anti-hero is coming to theaters in 2023.
Kevin Feige revealed the release date for MCU’s Blade at SDCC 2022. Fans aren’t waiting long because the Daywalker will return to the big screen a year from now. The film is set to hit theaters on November 3, 2023.
For those who didn’t already know, Blade is a human-vampire hybrid. He has all a vampire’s abilities but none of their weaknesses. He has accelerated healing plus superhuman stamina, strength, and senses. Blade is an anti-hero in the Marvel Universe who dedicated his life to fighting vampires.
Mahershala Ali has broken his silence about playing Blade since his grand reveal in 2019. He recently posted the film’s logo. He captioned it with a blood drop emoji beside its release year, “2023.” Check out his IG post below.
As of today, Ali has only appeared in the end-credits scene of The Eternals. Although people wondered if Blade would be in Moon Knight, he never showed up.
“At the time we were cracking Moon Knight, they were also kind of trying to crack the Blade story. So I think they wanted to keep them separate,” Moon Knight writer Jeremy Slater said in a recent interview.
