GMA Network finally welcomes widescreen format
Following the rousing success of “Maria Clara at Ibarra” comes “Mga Lihim ni Urduja.” The new show is another GMA groundbreaking drama set in pre-colonial and modern worlds. The now trending show debuted in widescreen format on February 27, 2023.
The series is a reunion project of the well-loved “Encantadia” Sang’gres — Kylie Padilla as Gem, Gabbi Garcia as Crystal, and Sanya Lopez as Hara Urduja.
Hara Urduja is a mystical warrior queen. She rules an army of strong, skillful, and extraordinary women in the Kingdom of Tawalisi located in the pre-colonial Philippines.
Praises for ‘Mga Lihim ni Urduja’
“Mga Lihim ni Urduja” follows the story of Gem, a career-driven rookie cop and Crystal, a budding entrepreneur and jewelry designer. Together, they were assigned to work in a special law enforcement operation to recover priceless heritage pieces of jewelry. The said jewels are believed to have been used as magical amulets of the legendary Hara Urduja.
Just two episodes in and the netizens already sang praises for the new GMA fantasy show.

Welcoming widescreen format
The pilot episode of “Mga Lihim Ni Urduja” coincides with the debut of GMA in widescreen format.
The enhanced viewing experience of 16:9 widescreen format is now available on GMA and GTV. Digital channels Heart of Asia, Hallypop, I Heart Movies, and Pinoy Hits are included in this development.
Kapuso abroad can have the same viewing experience via GMA’s international channels. These are GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV.
Among the shows to enjoy in this new format are the network’s shows such as the flagship newscast “24 Oras” and “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.” The viewers can also watch the action-packed National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the highly anticipated series “Voltes V: Legacy.”
