Safety first

In a statement released on March 21, 2021, ABS-CBN said, “To ensure the safety of our hosts and production team because of the surging COVID-19 cases in the country, ABS-CBN is suspending temporarily the live staging of ‘It’s Showtime.'” Despite the sudden announcement, they are hoping for the understanding and support of their viewers.

Last year, ABS-CBN also suspended production, both of live shows and teleseryes, in compliance with what was then the government’s first declaration of a community quarantine. Prior to this decision, the network has also already halted the admission of live studio audiences for live shows such as “It’s Showtime” and “ASAP Natin ‘To.”
