An “Iron Chef” Reboot Is Coming To Netflix

A reboot of the cooking competition show “Iron Chef” is currently in the works and will soon be available for streaming on Netflix!

Entitled “Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend,” the upcoming series will feature Challenger Chefs who will battle it out with new Iron Chefs in the Kitchen Stadium. The victorious Challenger Chefs per episode will return and get the chance to bag the first “Iron Legend” title in the grand finale.

According to Deadline, the eight-episode series is set to premiere later this year. It will be directed by Eytan Keller, who will also serve as an executive producer alongside Daniel Calin and Ross Weintraub.

The first “Iron Chef” series ran in Japan from October 1993 to September 1999, with specials that aired from 2000 to 2002. Considered as “one of the toughest gastronomic challenges a chef can face,” international editions of this competition also aired in Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Israel, Thailand, UK, USA, and Vietnam.
