Check Out ‘Jeen-Yuhs,’ the New Kanye West Documentary Coming to Netflix

Kanye West is set to come out with his own Netflix documentary, titled Jeen-Yuhs.

The three-act film is co-directed by Coodie and Chike, or Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah (both of whom worked with West on his 2004 music video “Jesus Walks (Version 3)” and “Through the Wire”), and covers the rapper’s beginnings and career over a 20-year period. Fans can expect to see exclusive footage of West during his rise to fame, as well as his controversial 2020 presidential bid and the death of his beloved mother, Donda West.

While Netflix has dropped the trailer for the documentary, no official release date has been announced. You can check out the clip here:

West has been making headlines for the most part of 2021, due to his divorce from reality star Kim Kardashian and the release of his highly anticipated album, Donda.

It was reported back in February that West and Kardashian had officially called it quits after almost seven years of marriage. The news came after months of news surrounding their martial struggles, wherein Kardashian also revealed that the music mogul had bipolar disorder and that he was a “brilliant but complicated person.” They share four children together.

Donda, West’s most recent album named after his late mother, was released in August and broke records by topping Apple Music’s Top Album Charts in 152 countries within 24 hours. It was the first album from the artist since 2019’s Jesus Is King.

Earlier this year, West also bagged a Grammy for that same album, winning Best Contemporary Christian Music Album. It was the 23rd Grammy of his career.
