From Ariana Grande to Taylor Swift, Here are Pop Song Covers You Might Have Heard in “Bridgerton”

The period drama series “Bridgerton” was a huge hit among viewers all over the world. Proof? It reached the top 10 list in 189 out of 190 countries with Netflix! Still talking numbers, its successful first season was already watched by 63 million people as of the first week of January 2021.

Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page portrayed their characters Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset so well, we got so hooked with the series! Here are photos of the two looking super cute on set:

Episode 1: Diamond of the First Water

Scene: As Daphne waited for the first of her callers to arrive, a cover of this Maroon 5 hit song played in the background. All the Bridgerton sisters and their Mama were in the same room, with Eloise at the dessert table, and Hyacinth, Francesca, and Daphne stitching.

Episode 2: Shock and Delight

Scene: The Duke of Hastings and Daphne surprised guests when they entered the main hall together, still as part of their ruse. They danced while talking about plans on how to make their “courting” believable to the eyes of other people.

Episode 3: Art of the Swoon

Scene: Guests danced to Billie Eilish’s “bad guy,” as Daphne and Simon began their plans for the night. Daphne was asked to dance by possible suitors, while Simon pretended to be jealous to keep other young ladies and their mothers from approaching him.

Episode 5: The Duke and I

Scene: The newlywed Duke and Duchess of Hastings headed to an inn, with plans of staying in separate rooms for their wedding night. But they ended up spending the night together after confessing their burning love for each other.

Scene: Daphne and Simon finally arrived at the Hastings mansion to enjoy the early stage of their marriage. While spending their honeymoon outside, it eventually rains, adding a romantic touch to the scene.
