After celebrating his “craziest birthday” on September 14, 2021, Inigo Pascual shared a huge update about his international acting career—he will be starring in “Monarch,” an upcoming musical drama on Fox!
“The news is out… Sorry for keeping it for so long,” the 24-year-old actor and singer-songwriter posted on Instagram.
The show, set to premiere on January 30, 2022, will follow the story of the Roman family, “America’s first family of country music.”
“In ‘Monarch,’ the Romans are passionate and fiercely talented, but while their name is synonymous with honesty, the very foundation of this family’s success is a lie,” the series description on the Fox website read.
“When dangerous truths bubble to the surface, the Romans’ reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy. Nicky Roman, the brilliant and fierce heir to the crown, already battling an industry and world stacked against her, will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy. It’s finally her turn. But is it too late?”
Inigo will play the role of Ace Grayson, the adopted son of Nicky Roman and her husband, Clive. Deadline described Ace as a “phenomenal singer with real swagger on stage and dreams of being a country star like his Grandpa Albie. But in spite of being part of a golden family, his path to success has some challenges.”
Other cast members of “Monarch” include the 68th Academy Awards “Best Actress” winner Susan Sarandon and International Emmy Awards “Best Performance by an Actress” winner Anna Friel.
Susan will play the role of Dottie Cantrell Roman, while Anna will play the role of Nicky Roman. Trace Adkins, Beth Ditto, Joshua Sasse, and Meagan Holder have also been confirmed to join the “Monarch” cast.
