“500 Days of Summer” and “New Girl” star Zooey Deschanel is known for always rocking a hairstyle with full bangs. Many fans are unfamiliar with how she looks like without them, so they noted how unrecognizable she was when she dropped a photo without her signature hairstyle.
Some joked that it’s probably a photo of one of her celebrity “doppelgängers” Katy Perry or Emily Blunt. One Facebook user even said she looks more like Jinkee Pacquiao in the photo!

Zooey shared a mirror selfie with the words “Proof I have a forehead” in the photo and captioned it with, “For all the doubters.” Her fellow actor and boyfriend Jonathan Silver Scott jokingly commented, “Wait what?!”
Someone said, “I did not recognize that this was Zooey Deschanel until I looked at the username,” to which another person agreed, saying, “what a difference bangs make.” Another Instagram user left the comment, “baby this is Katy Perry.”
Even with her bangs on, Zooey has been described to look a lot like Katy Perry. The two celebrities have recognized this comparison and highlighted their semblance in the music video for Katy’s song “Not the End of the World.”
The video shows Zooey being abducted by aliens who thought she was Katy. The latter only made a brief appearance at the beginning of the video (she’s the one pushing the stroller), since her baby Daisy Dove Bloom was just six and a half weeks old during that time. “I wish I could be in the whole thing, but you know, I gotta go be a mom,” Katy said.
