LOOK: Makisig Morales and Nicole Joson flaunt Filipiniana fashion in recent pictorial

They have been married for two years but their photos together still seem like day one!

Time really flew for former child star Makisig Morales, and his wedding pictorial with Filipino-Australian beauty queen Nicole Joson that has been leaving social media swooning lately perfectly proves our point.

Morales and Joson recently posed for Barong and Bestida Australia while donning Filipiniana fashion as part of the dressmaker brand’s bid to promote Filipino culture.

“We met Nicole and Makisig few years back and this young couple is truly admirable in their hardworking attitude. Not only he is Makisig, but he is also MASIPAGMATIYAGA at MAALAGA sa asawa,” a part of the Australia-based brand’s caption read.

In the snaps, the young couple is seen wearing a contemporary style of the classic barong and baro’t saya, regarded as the national costumes of the Philippines. Held last July, the dreamy photoshoot took place in Sydney, Australia, with the photos making it to social media on Sunday.

“Makisig and Nicole, it was truly an honor to have you both in our journey as we encourage more Pinoys abroad to wear a piece of FILIPINO heritage and be proud of our CULTURE!” the brand added.

The two wed last June 2019 in a romantic sunset ceremony overlooking Sydney’s La Perouse beach in Australia after nine months of being engaged.

The 22-year-old Joson was a contestant in Miss Earth Australia in 2017. Meanwhile, Morales, now 23, rose to stardom came when he took on the lead role in ABS-CBN’s Emmy-nominated fantasy series Super Inggo. He and his family have lived in Australia since completing his last role in 2018’s Bagani and proposing to Joson in Perth.
