After a lengthy 20-month-long hiatus, the squad of Netflix’s Sex Education is finally set to get back in session.
The third season, set to premiere on Netflix on September 17, sees Otis (Asa Butterfield) and company get into new antics, deal with strange relationships, and run into fresh faces in the span of eight forthcoming episodes. In the highly-anticipated season, Adam (Connor Swindells) and Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) make their relationship official, Jean (Gillian Anderson) is expecting a baby, and new headteacher Hope (Jemima Kirke) tries to restore Moordale to its former glory, as teased by the snazzy set of uniforms seen on the Netflix series’ first-look photos. Oh, and Otis is having casual sex too.
The rest of the official logline for Sex Education reads as follows: “Aimee discovers feminism, Jackson gets a crush and a lost voicemail still looms. Prepare for commitment animals, alien phenomena, vulva cupcakes and much more of Madam Groff.”

The series stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Connor Swindells, Aimee-Lou Wood, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Chaneil Kular, Simone Ashley, Mimi Keene, Tanya Reynolds, Mikael Persbrandt, Patricia Allison, Sami Outalball, Anne-Marie Duff, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Rakhee Thakrar, and Jim Howick.
Aside from Kirke who previously starred in HBO’s Girls, Jason Isaacs (Star Trek: Discovery) will also be joining the gang as Peter Groff, Mr. Groff’s more successful brother who’s not afraid to flaunt just that. Sudanese-American recording artist Dua Saleh is also set to debut on the show as Cal, a non-binary Moordale student, as well as Indra Ové, who starred in FX’s Breeders, as Anna, the foster mother to Maeve’s half-sister, Elsie.
Sex Education Season 3 premieres on Netflix on September 17.
