A little over a year after she charmed the world with the Netflix film Enola Holmes, it looks like British actress Millie Bobby Brown is giving the fans what they want by teasing them about the upcoming sequel to the streaming giant hit.
Millie Bobby Brown’s Enola Holmes is set to reunite with Viscount Tewkesbury in the upcoming Netflix film sequel. In case you didn’t get to watch the flick (and why didn’t you?), Tewkesbury is played by up-and-coming heartthrob Louis Partridge. His character plays Enola’s love interest and friend in the movie.
Netflix shared the news with a brief clip of Partridge lighting a match in the dark and declaring: “‘Tis I.”
To hype up fans for the upcoming movie, Partridge joined Brown towards the end of the 3-hour livestream event, where the duo shared that both have read the new script and are excited to be reunited in person for the first time since filming the first installment.
The actor said the sequel can be summed up in the word ‘adventure’ and that the themes of the movie are generally “family and teamwork.” He also said he’s excited to work with Cavill in the next film, and even jested that he could “teach him a thing or two” if he had a chance to do some action scenes.
The sequel to the Netflix hit movie was announced last May, with Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill (aka Superman!) set to return as Enola and Sherlock Holmes, respectively. It has yet to be announced if Helena Bonham Carter and Sam Claflin will join the three in the upcoming film. However, the first movie’s director, Harry Bradbeer, and writer, Jack Thorne, have committed to the project.
Enola Holmes is based on Nancy Springer’s Edgar Award-nominated six-part book series, Enola Holmes Mysteries. Aren’t you excited?
