Netflix’s TUDUM, Saturday’s streaming event named after the distinct drumbeat that kicks off its content, was heaving with way too many novel news, exclusive clips, and first-look teasers for any of us to comprehend in one sitting. From nuggets about season updates on its hit shows to upcoming K-dramas, the streaming platform’s first-ever global fan event said one thing loud and clear: tons of content are on their way.

Besides your usual binge-worthy series, Netflix also hyped a handful of its highly-anticipated films.

Red Notice

First announced last July, this international crime caper debuted an exclusive clip featuring a fight scene with its three top-billed stars: Dwayne Johnson, “the FBI’s top profiler;” Gal Gadot, “the world’s most wanted art thief,” and Ryan Reynolds, “the greatest conman the world has never seen,” per Netflix.

Dubbed the biggest movie that Netflix has ever made with its massive budget of $200 million, Red Notice premieres on the platform November 12.

Extraction 2

Contrary to fan opinions that he’s gone for good, Chris Hemsworth is alive and well as the black ops mercenary Tyler Rake. In the exclusive trailer for Extraction 2, we see the continuation of the first film’s closing moments: Hemsworth’s Rake falling off a bridge and sinking to the bottom off a river, only to prop back up and swim himself to the surface. #RakeLives

Like 2020’s Extraction, which had the biggest premiere in the streaming platform’s history with 99 million households tuning in, Hemsworth reteams Russo Brothers for the sequel. The premiere date of Extraction 2 is yet to be announced.

Army of Thieves

There are no zombies anymore, but Netflix promises that the Zack Snyder-produced prequel to Army of Dead still has “plenty of action (and romance and comedy).”

Okay, there’s still some zombies if we’re taking from the trailer. But this time, the spotlight shines on the thieving skills of Ludwig Dieter, the first film’s master safecracker, and of a team of expert bandits. He is played by Matthias Schweighöfer, who also happens to direct and produce the film, and is joined by the group’s muscle in Stuart Martin, the genius hacker in Ruby Fee, the getaway driver in Guz Khan, and the brains of the operations, played by Fast and the FuriousNathalie Emmanuel.

Army of Thieves breaks into the streaming platform on October 29.

Apart from these much-awaited titles, Netflix also dropped some breaking news regarding other films such as Enola Holmes 2, Don’t Look Up, and Through My Window. Read Netflix’s complete recap of the three-hour TUDUM event here.
