A first look at Netflix’s Trese was not something fans were expecting this week, but it’s definitely a welcomed surprise! Netflix Philippines just shocked fans by dropping the first images of Trese, an adaptation we haven’t heard many updates on since it was announced, on their social media accounts.
The first image shows Alexandra Trese overlooking the Manila skyline through a glass window. In the second, the titular character seems to be in mid-action, wielding a bloody blade.

The Netflix animated series adaptation of Trese was first announced back in 2018 to the delight of thousands of fans. Even if you’re not big on comics, chances are you’ve heard of this iconic crime-horror series written by Budjette Tan and illustrated by Kajo Baldisimo. It follows Alexandra Trese, the protagonist who solves cases involving supernatural beings, including creatures we’re familiar with from local mythology.
There’s no word yet on when the series will be premiering. However, with these official stills, the fact that we will get to see Alexandra Trese in action on our screens is finally sinking in, and we definitely can’t wait!
