Another action thriller is dropping on Netflix soon! The content streaming giant has unleashed the first teaser trailer for its upcoming flick Red Notice, which stars three of the biggest Hollywood stars today, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
As per PhilStarLife.com, the film, described as “a stylish globe-trotting game of cat-and-mouse (and cat)” was originally set to be released by Universal Pictures before Netflix acquired the distribution rights to the film in 2019.
The international crime caper which boasts of the stars of Deadpool, Wonder Woman, and Black Adam had a budget of over $200 million, making it Netflix’s most expensive movie project to date. That’s a LOT of money!
In case you’re hyped up already, here are some details about the movie: The film’s title refers to an Interpol-issued “Red Notice,” a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted, and follows FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Johnson), who is on the case.
“His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, ‘The Bishop’ (Gadot).”
The adventurous flick takes the trio around the world, on the dance floor trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company. Doesn’t that sound like a lot of fun?
Red Notice also stars Ritu Arya of Umbrella Academy fame and Chris Diamantopolous of Silicon Valley. The film was written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who Johnson has previously collaborated with in films such as Skyscraper and Central Intelligence.
Red Notice is slated to drop on Netflix worldwide on November 12. Until then, here’s their teaser trailer to get you excited.
