Ever since the year 2020, Netflix has become a staple in our households. With not much to do indoors due to the lockdowns, streaming shows and movies have become a well loved pastime. 

People are streaming more than ever so with the new year, you can expect more shows to drop on Netflix. This 2022, there are many beloved shows that have been renewed for a new season. For the first half of the year, you can expect Ozark: Season 4 Part 1 this January 21, Bridgerton: Season 2 on March 25, and Stranger Things: Season 4 sometime this summer. The Crown: Season 5 is coming this November while Alice in Borderland: Season 2 is set for December. The Umbrella Academy: Season 3 will also be released this year but there’s no set date for it yet. 

While the upcoming new seasons of Netflix’s beloved shows are definitely something to be excited about, there are new TV shows to look forward to. Take a look at some of them here: 

The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window

The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window is a satirical take on psychological thrillers – more specifically, psychological thrillers that have similar tropes and titles albeit shorter ones. Kristen Bell’s character spends her time drinking wine and gazing out her window. Her life takes a turn, however, when she seemingly witnesses her neighbor get murdered. Binge-watch the show on January 28, 2022

All of Us Are Dead

All of Us Are Dead will be Netflix’s new addition to its collection of Korean horror zombie series. The show is based on Now at Our School, a webtoon by Joo Dong-geun. The story will follow a group of students seeking to be rescued from a zombie invasion in their high school. Catch All of Us Are Dead on January 28, 2022.

Inventing Anna

Created and produced by Shonda Rhimes, Inventing Anna is a series based on a New York article by Jessica Pressler. In the show, the journalist investigates the story of a woman who convinced New York’s elite she was a German heiress. Inventing Anna is coming to Netflix on February 11, 2022.

The Sandman

The much-awaited adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman is almost here. The story will follow the living personification of Dreams as he’s captured by mortal men. There’s no specific date for its release yet but it’s dropping on Netflix this 2022.

There’s also going to be a live-action adaptation of Resident Evil, and a new series from Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy (of The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass) titled The Midnight Club.

Netflix has many more shows in store for you this 2022. You can bet that every month will bring you a new series to binge!
