In November 2020, actress and TV host Alex Gonzaga sealed the deal with longtime boyfriend and businessman Mikee Morada in an intimate wedding that took place at the former’s parent’s house in Taytay, Rizal. She announced the news in a January 17 vlog uploaded to her Youtube channel.
Surrounded by close family and friends, the comedienne tearfully exchanged vows with Morada, her boyfriend of four years, and enjoyed a night of food and drinks. Present at the close wedding was sister Toni Gonzaga, her husband Paul Soriano and son Seve, as well as both Gonzaga’s and Morada’s parents and immediate family. The couple had chosen to keep the good news from the public for months to make sure that they had had time to celebrate with their loved ones.
In the vlog, the younger Gonzaga sister can be seen descending from a staircase in a simple white gown and silver flats. She had reportedly opted for a more classic and minimalist look for the wedding. The midi dress, designed by Rajo Laurel, included removable Mutton sleeves akin to those in the Victorian era. Her groom also donned a simple white barong paired with black trousers and dark brown dress shoes.
Gonzaga had commented in her video that the wedding was more of for their parents as many things remained unclear in the time of the pandemic. “Gusto namin to ‘seal the deal’ na nandito kaming lahat,” she said, referring to their family members. She did note, however, that there would hopefully be a bigger and more inclusive wedding this coming 2021. The end of her vlog featured various clips from the private ceremony and the dinner that followed.
Gonzaga met her husband-to-be in 2016 through Piolo Pascual and has frequently featured him in her vlogs throughout the years. They were engaged in December 2019 during a vacation in Hong Kong.
