It features Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, and Timothee Chalamet, just to name a few.

Don’t Look Up,” Netflix’s upcoming comedy film, is perhaps its most ambitious production yet, at least in terms of its ensemble of actors and actresses announced for it. The first one to be confirmed for the film was Jennifer Lawrence and Rob Morgan, who appears on Netflix’s Marvel television series.

Then by October, the names of Hollywood’s highest-caliber talents joined the honor roll. Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett and Call Me By Your Name‘s Timothee Chalamet were soon announced for the film, as well as Himesh Patel (Yesterday, EastEnders), Matthew Perry (FRIENDS), Jonah Hill (21 Jump Street), and French comedian Tomer Sisley. Even music celebrities Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi are on board.

The movie follows two low-level astronomers who go on a wild media tour in an attempt to warn mankind of an inbound asteroid that’s about to collide with Earth. Adam McKay, who won the Academy for the adapted screenplay of 2015’s The Big Short and directed the Oscar-nominated documentary Vice, will be directing the stacked film, which is set to be released on the streaming platform possibly by early 2022

We don’t know anything else about the movie yet, as it’s only set to start filming by the end of the year, but clinching those big names is a great start to get everyone’s attention. You can bet we’d be waiting patiently for this one!
