A truckload of teasers and unconfirmed reports regarding who’s showing up in Spider-Man: No Way Home has been spinning around the digital web non-stop even before the first official trailer dropped in August. So it offers some sort of relief to finally hear learn about something legitimate.

Thanks to the latest issue of Empire Magazine, we can now expect two more old-school Spider-Man nemeses to return to the big screen and exact their revenge against Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

Some Spidey spoilers ahead, so tread carefully!

Judging from insider shots acquired by the magazine, Rhys Ifans’ Lizard/Dr. Curt Connors from 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman/Flint Marko from the third Spider-Man film in 2007 will make their way into the MCU as villains in No Way Home

The shots’ insets, as posted on Twitter, also mention the name of the two actors.

Not only that, but the subscriber cover of the latest Empire Magazine also shows a mandala-style rendition of the supposed ensemble of super-villains in the film; and if that isn’t Sandman’s fist at the bottom-right corner, we don’t know what it is.

These convincing cast additions further bolster the film’s massive ensemble, which has already confirmed the participation of Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 and Jamie Foxx as Electro from the second The Amazing Spider-Man flick. The much-awaited trailer also heavily teased Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, so needless to say, the odds are stacked against our friendly neighborhood crime-fighter.

If the rumor mill hasn’t gone into overdrive when it suggested the return of Andrew Garfield and Tobey McGuire in their own Spider-Man suits, it definitely did after the striking end-credits scene from Venom: Let There Be Carnage, where Tom Hardy’s alien anti-hero persona seems to have ended up in Spider-Man’s world.

Still from EmpireNo Way Home director Jon Watts revealed that they have been extremely “ambitious” with how Marvel’s third Spider-Man film will cap off the trilogy. He even went so far as to compare the jam-packed, much-hyped movie as the trilogy’s ”Endgame.”

After all the tease, we’re expecting no less than the same, too.
