American Horror Story is one of America’s longstanding shows. Its first season aired back in October 2011 so the show has been running for nearly a decade. One of the reasons why this show lasted so long without losing its fans is that every year, they present something new to its audiences. New characters, new stories, new themes — viewers are at the edge of their seats each year trying to figure out what the next season will be and how it’ll connect to previous ones.
But aside from American Horror Story Season 10, there’s something else to look forward to. Another brainchild of Ryan Murphy is American Horror Stories (plural, this time) — the spin-off we didn’t know we needed.
While the original series, American Horror Story, has an overarching theme and storyline for each season, American Horror Stories will feature 16 different stand alone episodes. According to Murphy on Twitter, the spin-off will delve into “horror myths, legends and lore.”
And just like the original series, this spin-off will feature familiar faces — “AHS stars you know and love,” Murphy shared.
The trailer for the spin-off is out now and it shows scenes in the Murder House. It seems like the story is going back to its roots.
