BTS’ record-breaking song “Butter” has lots of dance covers out there, but AC Bonifacio’s is extra special as it’s one of the versions that got noticed by BTS themselves!
AC Bonifacio posted her dance cover on TikTok on May 27, 2021, just a few days after the group’s second all-English song was released. Two weeks later, AC shared via Twitter that her cover got a “like” from the official BTS account. “Wait lang po processing pa,” she tweeted.
The viral dance cover currently has over 2,000,000 views, 300,000 likes, and 5,000 comments. “Stream ‘Butter’ or else,” AC wrote in the caption and tagged BTS.
This is not the 18-year-old performer’s first time to be noticed by a big K-Pop group. In July 2020, AC and her team won second place in BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” dance cover contest.
“We won [second]! ‘Di po namin alam what to do. I love you all, thank you so much [BLACKPINK],” AC posted on Instagram Stories.
AC also had the opportunity to showcase her dancing skills as “Star Vixen” on Riverdale. She appeared on the episode Chapter Eighty-Three: Fire in the Sky where she had a dance-off with “Cheryl Blossom,” who is portrayed by Madelaine Petsch.
