The much-awaited record is set to be released this September.
BLACKPINK member Lisa has announced that her long-awaited solo debut record, called LALISA, has finally received an official release date of September 10, the K-Pop icon announced on Instagram on Wednesday.
She accompanied the news with the album’s visual concept that shows Lisa sporting a long braided ponytail hairstyle and a red paisley dress that exudes a signature sophistication and charismatic aura. Her label, YG Entertainment, also followed by posting a pair of teasers on Twitter on the same day.
The build-up was rather brief. Though the rumor mill has rolled for a while, the announcement came just three days after the singer teased her debut album, and a month after YG Entertainment, officially confirmed that a solo record is on the way for the 24-year-old.
Shortly after the teaser was announced, the hashtag #SoloistLisa and the phrase “PINKS WORLD DOMINATION” also claimed the top spot on Twitter’s trending roll. YG Entertainment’s tweet has also raked more than 100 thousand retweets, while Lisa’s Instagram tease has gotten a whopping 6.8 million likes.
Once the record comes out, Lisa would be the third member of BLACKPINK to debut solo, following Jennie’s Solo back in 2018 and Rosé‘s two-track EP titled “R” earlier this year.
