It’s been almost two years since Anderson .Paak released his last album, “Ventura,” and over four years since Bruno Mars released “24K Magic.” So the announcement that these two artists have teamed up for the ultimate collaboration—and are releasing new music very soon—had fans all hyped up!
What’s even more exciting about their collaboration is that it’s not just for one song—Bruno and Anderson actually made a full album and formed a new band called “Silk Sonic!”
“We locked in and made an album. The band’s called Silk Sonic. First song drops next Friday 3/5,” Bruno announced online.
Meanwhile, Anderson expressed his excitement in an all caps Instagram post:
The already powerful duo’s project will also feature American musician Bootsy Collins, who’s been in the music scene since the late 60s.
While waiting for “An Evening with Silk Sonic,” listen to Bruno and Anderson’s individual studio albums, “24K Magic” and “Ventura,” which both won Grammy awards under the “Best R&B Album” category in recent years.
Stay tuned for their first song, already coming out on Friday, March 5, 2021!
