“Butter,” a refreshing all-English track, is the group’s fourth No.1 in less than a year, making it the fastest accumulation of hits for a group since the Jackson 5. They’re also the first group in history to achieve three No.1 debuts on the Hot 100.

The feat is just another under the belt of the experienced, hit-making machine that is BTS. The group is known for breaking records regularly (most of them their own), recently breaking five Guinness World Records just this month.

BTS quickly took to social media to thank their dedicated ARMY for helping them achieve the No.1 spot.

“’Butter’ was made with the thought of wishing that there would be a song that people can enjoy this summer without thinking,” leader RM said in a video greeting. “We’re just so happy and honored to be number one on the Billboard Hot 100 once again.”

Jin, the oldest member of the group, thanked fans for their support. “Thank you all so much for loving ‘Butter.’ We’ll be BTS who always works hard to make you listen to hot, sweet, and cool music.”

Back in September of 2020, BTS made their initial No.1 with their first all-English track “Dynamite,” again breaking records worldwide on Youtube, Spotify, and Apple Music. In just a span of nine months, they reached No.1 again and again with their tracks, “Savage Love (Laxed — Siren Beat)” with Jason Derulo and “Life Goes On.”

While the seven members have kept mum on word of an upcoming album, fans expect them to release something soon to follow up the immense success of “Butter.”
