You all remember him as the tear-jerking golden buzzer boy from Britain’s Got Talent.
Pride month is the gift that keeps on giving. Multiplatinum-selling singer-songwriter Calum Scott recently revealed that he’s set to tour Asia. The announcement follows the release of “Heaven.” The show’s promoters are AEG Presents Asia and Ovation Productions.
Get your hearts and wallets ready for his arrival in Manila. He’ll be performing at the New Frontier Theater on October 20, 2022. Calum will kick off his Asia tour in Tokyo, Japan on October 18. Then he’ll drop by Manila, Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and finally, Singapore.
“It feels so incredible to announce my Asia tour! It’s been a long time coming and a lot of planning. After the last few years, you can tell how excited people are for live music again and I’m so happy to be a part of it. I’m coming back with my band to play the songs that helped people discover me. I’ll also play some new songs from my second album. It’s my best and most personal work yet. I can’t wait to see you all there!” says Calum.

With the arrival of his 2018 debut album, Only Human, Calum landed at No. 1 on the iTunes charts in over 20 countries around the world. But many people fell in love with him on Britain’s Got Talent. He auditioned for the ninth season of the show with a soul-stirring rendition of Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own.” The judges gave him a standing ovation, and Simon Cowell even hit the Golden Buzzer for him. That sent him straight to the semi-finals.
At the time, Simon said, “I’ve never ever in all the years I’ve done this show heard a guy with the talent you’ve got. Seriously. And the version was sensational, and that shows you’re more than a singer. You’re an artist, and that’s why you got that (the buzzer).”
His cover of Robyn’s hit became the most-downloaded song of summer 2016 in the UK. It even earned a Brit Award nomination for Best British Single. Scott has recently made his presence known in the Philippines. By having Darren Espanto feature on his latest song “Heaven”, he caught the attention of local fans.
