When you feel hyped

Drake’s known to produce club bangers almost every year, with or without a full album. If you’ve been out and about in the 2010s, you’ll be quite familiar with certified hits like “Started from the Bottom,” “Hotline Bling,” and “Fake Love” bumping through the speakers at parties and events. Who are we kidding? You might even know all the lyrics!

When you’re about to hit the club

The club bangers are important, but so are the pre-game tunes. “God’s Plan,” “Jumpman,” and “Legend,” with all their catchy lyrics and infectious beats, are the perfect songs to listen to before a night out on the town with friends. With a little booze in your system and the line “She say, ‘Do you love me?’ I tell her, ‘Only partly’/I only love my bed and my momma, I’m sorry” echoing in your head, it’s sure to be a fun night.

When you’re heartbroken

Who is Drake without his iconic, make-you-miss-your-ex song lyrics? “Sooner Than Later” and “Marvin’s Room” are classics that will probably have you up at night, staring at the ceiling for no good reason; “Hold On We’re Going Home,” albeit not a super tragic song, has a soothingly melancholy vibe that can nurture your broken heart.

When you need that nostalgia

OG Drake had a hold on us like no rapper before. Early songs from the famous hitmaker, like “Find Your Love,” “Best I Ever Had,” and “Headlines” bring on the nostalgia of the old days when life (and music) was much more simple. There will never be another “Sweatpants, hair tied, chillin’ with no make-up on/That’s when you’re the prettiest, I hope that you don’t take it wrong.”

When you wanna dance

“One Dance” is the obvious answer, but how about “In My Feelings” and “Toosie Slide”? The latter two sparked dance crazes across the Internet, fueling Drake’s fame and broadening his legacy as an artist with the Midas touch.
