In less than two years, Arthur Nery has established a name for himself in the local music industry. But despite getting recognized as one of the most successful up-and-coming artists in the country, he has managed to keep himself grounded.
Nery said he found it easy to work with Janine. The latter, who has released various hits such as “Di Na Muli” and “Ulan, happened to have achieved mainstream success ahead of him.
“To be honest, working with Janine was super easy. Ang galing niya in all aspects. ‘Yung choice of words niya sobrang ganda and boses niya din sobrang flexible kaya ‘di kami nahirapan. Super bait pa niya,” he said.
Known for his seductive music, the 23-year-old artist shared where he draws inspiration each time he comes up with a new song.
“Ang random lang nya. May times na line per line yung naiisip ko, minsan isang buong verse naman. Nag bbase lang ako sa paligid,” he stated.
Despite making it big in the OPM scene, the Cagayan de Oro City native kept his feet on the ground. As a matter of fact, he admitted that he still feels flattered and overwhelmed over the public response towards his music.
“’Di talaga nagbabago ‘yung feeling ko na flattered and overwhelmed eh. Sobrang nakaka-amaze lang how people connect through my music and na a-appreciate nila yung mga ginagawa ko,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, Arthur promised that fans could definitely expect new music from him soon. “Album, yes, for sure.”
On holding a digital concert, he said: “Concerts naman depende pa. Kung pwede ako mag concert lagi, why not.”
