James Reid‘s recent collaboration with Filipino-Canadian duo Manila Grey has reached the City of Flowers and Sunshine! The music video for their song “Backhouse Ballin'” recently got featured on an LED billboard in Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.
James shared a clip on Instagram showing the “Backhouse Ballin'” music video playing on one of the big screens in Universal Studios Hollywood. He said, “We Out Heeere! @manilagrey BHB on billboards at #CityWalkLA.”
James released his debut studio album “Palm Trees” under the record label Careless, which he co-founded with fellow “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010″ alumnus Bret Jackson back in 2017. Earlier this year, James released a new single entitled “Soda,” a song which Nadine Lustre helped him create. In an interview with CNN Philippines, he said, “I got stuck after the first line which was, ‘It’s not a straight line, it’s all part of a ride,’ and Nadine wrote the next line which was, “Can we take time, don’t lose the stars in your eyes.”
Meanwhile, Manila Grey is composed of Vancouver-based R&B artists Neeko and Soliven. The duo recently got nominated for “Breakthrough Group of the Year” at the Juno Awards 2021.
