Olivia Rodrigo‘s prom-themed SOUR concert film is “the ultimate alternative prom experience.”
Because the high school fresh grad wasn’t able to attend prom herself, she’s holding her own “prom party” featuring live performances of songs from her debut album. “Since I never got to go to prom, I wanted to throw a little prom party with my fav ppl (you guys obvs). SOUR prom the concert film comes out Tuesday,” Olivia posted on Instagram.
Promposals
To make the event feel even more like a real prom, Olivia decided to take it up a notch with adorable promposals. She went to her fans’ homes to personally invite them and deliver some gifts.
The lucky Livies she visited had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of being asked to prom by Olivia herself, who brought a pink banner that read “Prom would be brutal without you.” They also received a bouquet of flowers and “Sour” merchandise, including a shirt, a hat, and a box of Sour Patch Kids.
One fan shared about her experience on Twitter, saying, “Olivia Rodrigo came to my house to ask me to prom and I don’t think I’ll ever shut up. What is life???!”
Another fan tweeted, “Hi, I love you. Olivia Rodrigo you’re literally so sweet? Thank you for the merch and the hugs and the compliments? Of course I’ll go to prom with you.”
