Swifties, rejoice! Your favorite songstress has just broken the record for having the fastest run of three chart-topping albums in the UK. Taylor Swift’s re-recorded LP Fearless (Taylor’s Version), and recent albums Folklore and Evermore, rose to UK’s No. 1 spot in just 259 days.
Swift beat out legendary band, The Beatles, who previously held the record for 54 years. Their albums Help!, Rubber Soul, and Revolver reached No. 1 in the span of 364 days.
The feat comes at a significant time for Swift, who recently made history again as the first female artist to win Album of the Year three times at the 2021 Grammys.
The re-recorded Fearless album came as a result of a high-profile battle with entrepreneur and music mogul Scooter Braun for the rights to Swift’s music. Back in November, Braun had sold the rights to Swift’s first six albums to Shamrock Capital in a deal estimated to be worth more than $300 million.

In an attempt to reclaim control of her songs, Swift re-recorded her 2008 album Fearless, which included early hits like “Fifteen” and “Love Story”; the move would effectively devalue the original recordings and give Swift more control over royalties and song use in film and TV.
Thanks to loyal Swifties, who fervently supported the star’s quest to regain her “life’s work”, much of the original recordings have been “hidden” on Spotify as the new “Taylor’s Version” songs progressively climbed the charts.
For now, the 31-year old artist remains in the studio, re-recording her previous albums.
During a sketch on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, many fans caught on to hints that point to Swift’s album, 1989, being the next rerecording.
