Taeyong trying his hand at the Filipino language is the mid-week picker-upper that we need.
On Monday, indie-folk pop band Ben&Ben wowed their fans on Facebook by posting a video of South Korean boy group NCT 127’s lead singer, Taeyong, hitting the high notes of their popular track, “Pagtingin.”
“Woah! Thanks for jamming to our song,” Ben&Ben wrote.
The 35-second video of Taeyong jamming to the verse and chorus of “Pagtingin” has since been shared over 5,000 times and has garnered more than 82,000 reactions on the social media platform.
Ben&Ben released “Pagtingin” in July last year at the height of the pandemic. According to the band, the song was inspired by a story of a fan’s unprofessed love for her best friend. Since its release, the song has been met with much fanfare, ending at the third spot in Spotify’s year-end list of most-streamed OPM songs.
NCT 127, of which Taeyong sings lead, debuted in 2017 and has held concerts in the Philippines in 2017 and 2019.
