As of Friday, Ylona Garcia is now officially a part of 88rising, the American media company that propelled other Asian talents like NIKI, Joji, and Rich Brian to a greater audience.

The collective welcomed the 18-year-old Fil-Australian singer with a collage of candid shots posted on social media. “Good things to come,” the caption read.

Ylona’s first collaboration with the collective came last December when she delivered an “angelic performance” of her single “Spilt Milk” and an elegant cover of Ariana Grande’s “Winter Things” at EST’s DOUBLE HAPPINESS Winter Festival online event.

Sources from Bandwagon Asia said that Ylona will be a part of PARADISE RISING, a younger collective by 88rising that turns the spotlight to “the next wave of artists from the Philippines.” She joins other homegrown voices such as Jason Dhakal, Kiana V., Leila Alcasid, and the recently announced Guapdad 4000, the Fil-American rapper-songwriter from Oakland, California.
