Here’s What Nadia Montenegro Has To Say About Daughter Sophia’s Biological Father

Nadia: “Are you even worth it to be called a dad?”

Nadia Montenegro challenges her daughter Sophia’s biological dad, saying that he must draw clear intentions first to be worthy of being called a father.

The 52-year-old actress has come to terms with her past shortcomings in an exclusive YouTube interview with Julius Babao. One of the matters she addressed is having an alleged love child with actor Baron Geisler.

Throughout the interview, never did Nadia mention Baron’s name. She speaks with subtlety in a way that, without naming names, she only hints about the long-standing controversy with the 42-year-old actor.

When asked if Nadia’s open to having Sophia reconnect with her dad, the actress shows outright signs of apprehension. She even says that Sophia is also reluctant to do so.

She says, “As of now, hindi. So, asan dun ang intensiyon mo?

And give me a reason why, are you even worth it to be called a dad?”

Nadia seems to be alluding to Baron who disclosed having a child with someone else other than his wife in an interview with Ogie Diaz in March 2024. At that time, Baron clarifies that his firstborn isn’t actually Tali—his daughter with Jamie Evangelista.

Baron’s revelation then revived the long-speculated rumor of having a child with Nadia.

Nadia Montenegro makes amends with her shortcomings

For Nadia, she sees Sophia as God’s greatest blessing, even sharing that she raised her youngest daughter with love at the center of all. Her late husband, former Caloocan Mayor Macario “Boy” Asistio Jr., knew this for a fact. And as revealed by Nadia, her entire family is privy to her past.

There might have been people wondering about how the family dealt with it, and Nadia says that she was the one who fixed the problem.

As she puts it, “Common sense, guys. Sa tingin ninyo, hindi ko inayos ito? Tingin ninyo, hindi ko pinlano ito? Tingin ninyo, hindi ko pinroblema ito?

Nadia rests her case believing that she was already forgiven by God. More so, she believes that her husband died in peace, knowing that she never held anything behind him.

She says, “Napatawad ako ng Panginoon.

Nadia draws comfort from a hearty talk she had with Boy weeks before his death. She sees it as the most meaningful conversation they had—a pivotal talk would determine how she’ll go about her life from there forward.

She says, “Two weeks before Boy died, we had a heart-to-heart talk of two and a half hours.

Sinasabi ko sa lahat ng malalapit sa akin na siguro kung hindi nangyari yung two hours na heart-to-heart talk namin ni Boy, not knowing he would die two weeks later, siguro baka hindi niyo na ako nakakausap ngayon.

“Kasi it’s the most valuable, most important conversation we ever had in 29 years. I mean, I’ve seen him almost die so many times.
