New ‘Tekken’ Project Teased, A ‘Tekken 7’ Balance Update Is Coming Next Week

Bandai Namco has some great things in store for fans!

Tekken 7 will have a significant balance update on Wednesday, August 17. Look for major adjustments to roll out across the board to all characters.

That doesn’t mean stat adjustments; unspecified “new tactics” also appear to be on the way. More information on the balance patch will be revealed before it’s deployed.

Besides the balancing patch, Bandai Namco has something else in store for all Tekken fans. The Tekken World Tour 2022 Global Finals date and location have been confirmed. The competitive Tekken season finals will occur in Amsterdam on February 4-5, 2023. The finals will mark the conclusion of the competitive season.

Aside from the world tour and balancing updates, Bandai Namco teased a new Tekken project. Bandai Namco recently posted a teaser trailer that hints at something huge. (And no, it’s not another Tekken 7 update.)

Watch the teaser below.

As you can see, the teaser opens with Kazuya dragging Heihachi to the cliffside. We then see what seems like a new character model for Mishima with the words “get ready.”

The teaser finished with a shot of Kazuya and a hint that the upcoming conflict is around the corner. Bandai Namco has not shared more information at the moment.
