Which of the original cast are you hoping to make an appearance?
“The Big Bang Theory” show creator Chuck Lorre has announced that he is in the early stages of developing a new spin-off series for the popular TV series. This news comes after the show ended in 2019, leaving fans devastated after 12 seasons.
Although no plot or cast details have been announced for The Big Bang Theory spin-off series, it is currently in the works at Max, as revealed at Warner Bros. Discovery’s press day.
Fans believe that The Big Bang Theory spin-off series will feature a new cast but offer the opportunity for known “Big Bang Theory” stars to show up.
Many fans have speculated about what the new show could be about. Some had hoped it would focus on one of the characters from the original show. But it seems unlikely since many of the actors have yet to be keen to revisit their original roles.
Yet, one popular theory is that the new show will focus on Paige, a re-occurring character in the prequel, “Young Sheldon.”
Paige is another child prodigy in Dr. John Strugis’ class and has reappeared in the series.
The last few seasons of the series have seen her rebel after her parents split up, leading her to drop out of college, which is a different path to Sheldon.
The original “Big Bang Theory” show featured a star-studded cast. Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, and Kaley Cuoco are some names to mention. The show aired for 12 seasons between 2007 and 2019, garnering under 18 million viewers for its series finale.
Although the original show may have ended, fans have continued to tune into “Young Sheldon.” It’s a series focused on the early life of Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper, which Jim Parsons narrates. The show has been a success since it started in 2017 and is still in production, with the seventh season recently wrapped filming.
The upcoming spin-off series might be months or even a year away. In the meantime, fans can re-watch “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon.”
