Paolo Contis also claims that his relationship with Yen Santos has been “demonized.”
While he did not really get into the details, Paolo Contis acknowledged that he has made a mistake in his relationship with LJ Reyes.
It was late 2021 when rumors about the reason behind their split surfaced. Among them, drug use, a third party, and his relationship with Yen Santos.
While he previously admitted to being “marupok at gago” and apologized for that, Contis also clarified in the past that it wasn’t Santos that caused their split.
Now, almost three years after that interview, Contis pointed out in the April 22, 2023 report of “24 Oras” that there were other factors that led to the ending of their relationship.
“Para sa akin I think it’s too personal... Maraming factors kung bakit napunta doon sa state ng naghiwalay kami. But I have admitted that I have made mistakes. Pero marami pang hindi alam ang tao about the whole picture,” says Contis.
Reyes has been living in New York for almost two years now together with their daughter Summer and Aki, her son with Paulo Avelino.
Asked if he has contact with Reyes, he says, “No. But I’m waiting for the right time and the go signal that I can. But I am trying to contact through her lawyer.”
Early this year, Contis was criticized online following his admission of his lack of child support for Summer, as well as Xonia and Xylene, his daughters with ex-girlfriend Lian Paz.
“It’s a mistake na nasimulan ko ever since before na hindi ako nakapagbigay,” Paolo acknowledges. “But ever since na nagtrabaho ako ng maayos, unti-unti akong naglalagay ng account para kay Xonia, kay Xylene, pati kay Summer.“

Meanwhile, Contis is pleased about the current status of his relationship with Santos.
“I guess being in a quiet relationship, feeling ko mas may advantage. She’s a very private person. Walang comparison,” explains the Kapuso actor.
He pointed out that people don’t really know what happens behind closed doors.
“Kung ano man ‘yung nakita ko dati, iba rin ‘yung mga nakikita ko ngayon. Sa amin, it works because we’re both quiet with our personal lives,” Contis says.
Since his admission of the real score between them, Contis and Santos have been heavily criticized especially online.
“It’s sad to say na super na-demonize kami pareho in terms of, parang super laki,” says Contis.
While this was a sad reality, Contis says he has learned a lot from being “the world’s hatest man.”
“Aminin na natin, there is too much hate for me to postings and parang sa akin, so what? As long as quiet ‘yung sa aming dalawa, then so be it,” he ends.
