Kelley Day is the first runner-up in Miss Eco International 2020/2021! Kelley’s win marks the third consecutive year for the Philippines to be part of the Top 5 in the pageant and the second year for the country to have a second place finish.
Chynthia Tomalla, who represented the country in 2018, was the first Pinay Miss Eco International title holder. She was followed by Maureen Montagne, the first runner-up in the beauty pageant‘s 2019 edition.
Kelley, an actress and a former GirlTrends member from “It’s Showtime,” shared that Miss Eco International 2020/2021 was her first international pageant. “What an experience it has been. I’m extremely touched by all the support and wonderful messages I have been receiving from all of you,” she said.
She went on to dedicate her win to the country and expressed her gratitude to the people who helped her along the way. “Philippines, this was all for you. Especially to those who stayed up till 5am to watch the Coronation night Live. 🙏😍.”
Prior to the coronation night held in the coastal city of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt, Kelley also bagged the “Best National Costume” award during the preliminaries. Her gown was designed by Louis Pangilinan, the creative mind who’s also behind Samantha Bernardo‘s emerald green gown in Miss Grand International 2021.
This year’s Miss Eco International title was given to Gizzelle Uys from South Africa. Meanwhile, Alexandria Kelly from the USA was the second runner-up, Steffania Rodriguez from Venezuela was the third runner-up, and Kristell Ruiz from Costa Rica was the fourth runner-up.
