For those who do not know, the show is an animated comedy about two stepbrothers who come up with creative ways to spend their summer vacation. In one of its episodes, they built a roller coaster out of everyday household items like Popsicle sticks and indoor plumbing tools.

During the Television Critics Association (TCA) tour on January 14, 2023, Disney announced that the well-loved animated series would return with 40 all-new episodes that will run for two seasons.

The revival of “Phineas and Ferb” is part of Dan Povenmire’s new deal with Disney Branded Television. He is also in charge of the second season of “Hamster and Gretel.”

Povenmire says during the TCA tour that it has been “the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of Phineas and Ferb.”

He adds, “I’m looking forward to diving back into the show for them and a whole new generation.”

The creator of the show also took to Twitter to share the exciting news. In his Tweet, Povenmire dresses up as Dr. Doofenshmirtz and held a stuffed Perry the Platypus. Both are the known villains in the show.

Povenmire yells in his post, “We’re bringing back ‘Phineas and Ferb.’ We’ve returned, baby! I’m saying you can’t keep a good platypus busy.”

Fans worldwide has expressed their excitement to see their favorite Disney show back, which will be available soon on Disney+!
