Pokwang, Eugene Domingo Team Up Again For New Film

From the same director who brought “Ten Little Mistresses,” here’s another Pokwang x Uge film!

Pokwang and Eugene Domingo are set to give just another round of laughs as the two comediennes team up once more for a new movie project, director Jun Robles Lana teased on Monday, April 10.

The filmmaker headlined four casts of his upcoming feature, “Becky and Badette.” It includes Pokwang and Domingo who previously worked together in the director’s Amazon Prime Video comedy riot, “Ten Little Mistresses.”

Agot Isidro, who also starred in “Ten Little Mistresses,” rejoins Pokwang and Domingo for this new cinema film. The line-up does not fall too scarcely of big names, as Romnick Sarmenta also makes up for the film’s cast ensemble.

Sarmenta had already collaborated with the filmmaker in the past, favored to play the lead role of Lana’s recently released film “About Us But Not About Us” with award-winning actor Elijah Canlas.

The director’s “About Us But Not About Us” stands as one of the notable entries for the inaugural Metro Manila Film Festival of 2023. It rightfully bagged the Best Picture Award along other technical categories, such as Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Musical Score, and Best Sound.

It was only recently that the two have found their ways back to work under the same project. Friends as they are over the years, Domingo has only nice words to say amid controversies surrounding Pokwang.

In Pokwang’s revelation over her breakup with ex-partner Lee O’Brian, Domingo has extended her sympathy with,  “You loved. You tried to stand everything. You give, give, give. And now you fight. You stand up. You will survive.”
